We require an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Radiologist to join our team of 23 Substantive Consultant Radiologists. The appointee will be primarily based at either Eastbourne DGH or Conquest Hospital Hastings, although this may change dependent on service need.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first line on call support as a Specialty Registrar or Specialty Doctor radiologist until 10pm weekdays and 5pm weekends, with overnight on call outsourced to a reporting company.
- Check and quality‑assure scans the following day as part of a 1 in 8 rota.
- Cover malignant cord compression MRI at weekends on the 1 in 8 rota.
- Participate in teaching and supervision of four radiology trainees on rotation from the HEKSS deanery.
- Engage in audit and continuing professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Full GMC registration.
- High level of clinical experience and competence in General Radiology.
- Demonstrated ability to develop subspecialty areas of interest and contribute to service development.
