We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic nurse to join the Breast CNS team for a 12 month secondment. The post will be mainly at the Eastbourne site, but the successful candidate will be expected to work cross site at the Conquest as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate expert nursing care and provide support to patients with suspected and diagnosed breast cancer and those receiving cosmetic surgery as part of NHS care.
  • Continue responsibility for the co‑ordination of individual treatment programmes throughout the disease trajectory.
  • Provide specialist advice and psychological support.
  • Develop communication pathways with key stakeholders across health and social care settings.
  • Be involved in the development of policies and quality audit initiatives.
