36 hours per week, 37.6 weeks per year (term time only)

Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 15.45, Friday 08.00 to 15.30

Pay Grade PS6 (£30,885 to 33,122 FTE) Pay award pending. Starting pro-rata salary: £25,838

Start date: 3 September 2026

We are looking for a positive and proactive individual to oversee and coordinate our focus room (internal suspension) promoting a forward-thinking approach and making a significant contribution to minimising student poor behaviour. You will also lead on management of detentions and behaviour data reporting. This role will support leaders in the coordination of student and pastoral support plans. The right candidate will embody our warm and strict approach to building excellent relationships across the school.

You will be joining a very successful pastoral team and you must have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as well as a positive attitude to working with young people and experience of working as part of a team. Esher High is an excellent performing school and is proud to be part of Enlighten Learning Trust (ELT). We aim to equip our students with the skills to grow into confident, ambitious and responsible citizens ready to face the challenges of the adult world.
