We are recruiting for a Breakfast Club Supervisor to be responsible for our successful Early Birds Breakfast Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment for pupils before the start of the school day ensuring that our high standards of care, behaviour, and safeguarding are consistently maintained while supporting children’s social, emotional, and nutritional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the Breakfast Club in line with school policies and safeguarding requirements.
- Manage staffing rotas to ensure safe adult:pupil ratios are maintained.
- Prepare activities in advance and ensure resources are available.
- Oversee pupil bookings and respond to parent enquiries/booking requests.
- Welcome pupils, ensure accurate registration, and monitor attendance.
- Assist Breakfast Club playworkers with preparing and serving a healthy breakfast in accordance with food hygiene standards.
- Supervise pupils during breakfast and provide structured activities, encouraging positive behaviour and respectful interactions.
- Provide appropriate support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Maintain a calm, inclusive atmosphere that supports children’s wellbeing.
- Ensure the club environment is clean, safe, and appropriately set up and cleared away.
- Report any concerns regarding pupil welfare to the designated safeguarding lead.
- Be responsible for food ordering.
