Up to 30 hours per week, term time only (37.6 weeks per year). We have a number of Learning Support Assistant hours available and welcome applications from candidates seeking either full‑time or part‑time hours. We are happy to discuss a working pattern that suits the successful candidate(s), including the number of days and start/finish times.
Typical full‑time hours are 30 hours per week, worked over 5 days (8.40am-3.10pm), although part‑time and flexible working patterns will be considered.
Salary: PS4 (£26,080-£27,926 FTE). Starting pro‑rata salary from £18,025 (30 hours per week), depending on contracted hours.
Do you have a desire to work as part of a team supporting young people in our school? We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with an enthusiastic team of teachers and support staff, providing assistance to students with special needs, enabling them to achieve maximum access to the national curriculum and to integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by students at the school. This is your opportunity to have a real impact on the educational outcomes of our students. You will be working in class, supporting key students to access the curriculum, as well as ensuring that the well‑being, behaviour and personal development of students enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.
Previous experience of working with young people would be an advantage. A good level of written and spoken English is required, together with numeracy skills. We offer a comprehensive induction programme for all new staff.
