Position Responsibilities
- Deliver projects within the ESG projects portfolio to the appropriate level of Time/Cost/Quality/Scope with a focus on following the right level of governance relevant to meet company targets.
- Ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively, focusing on project closure and handover to BAU.
- Engage with relevant teams (sales & account management, IT, engineering, etc.) to ensure successful delivery on time, on budget, and to the required level of quality, escalating key risks and issues.
- Collaborate with pre‑sales teams to ensure projects are correctly handed over and contractual and commercial terms are understood.
- Work with Account Managers and/or Service Delivery Managers to manage customer stakeholders and serve as a point of escalation for client issues.
- Produce regular status reports including financial reporting and tracking.
- Identify, manage and escalate project‑level risks, issues and dependencies that need close attention and action.
- Promote sharing of lessons learned across the Projects team and beyond.
- Create all relevant project‑related documentation (Statements of Work, Project Initiation Documents, etc.).
- Establish trusted client relationships and communicate effectively with internal ESG organisation and delivery teams.
- Ensure projects are correctly scoped, planned, sized, and costed; support delivery and maintain standards with the Portfolio Support Office (PSO).
- Serve as a member of the Delivery Services Team demonstrating the key values of Excellence, Passion, Integrity, and Collaboration.
Experience & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial IT software projects in a Project Management role.
- IT software delivery experience covering the full development lifecycle.
- Experience of projects in commercial organisations and with pre‑canned products & services.
- Direct customer‑facing stakeholder management at project level.
- Ownership of project budgets around £200k / 100 man‑days.
- Previous experience in the Energy Industry highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Project lifecycle planning, implementation and governance, including reporting & financial management.
- Stakeholder management & reporting, including matrix management.
- RAID management, project documentation control from initiation to closure.
- Team management and mentoring.
- Project Management certification (Foundation level preferred; Practitioner desirable – e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, AMP – PMQ/PPQ).
