Project Engineer – Gasoline ICE Calibration

Overview

ESG REC is partnering with a leading global engineering consultancy, seeking a Contract Project Engineer for Gasoline ICE base engine calibration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead base engine calibration for performance, fuelling, and emissions.
• Support emissions control strategy optimisation.
• Conduct calibration across rigs, testbeds, vehicles, and remote setups.
• Perform testbed development and detailed technical analysis.
• Deliver assigned tasks on time, within budget, and to required quality.
• Act as technical point of contact with clients.
• Provide clear technical reporting and mentor junior team members.
• Travel for customer/site support as required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in engine calibration/related disciplines.
• Experience with EMS calibration and strategy development.
• Skilled in INCA, MDA, and other calibration/data tools.
• Solid knowledge of combustion, emissions control, and control logic.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality technical tasks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills in customer-facing environments.
