ESG Drysdale is a leading grower and supplier of high-quality vegetables to major supermarkets across the UK. We operate an innovative and proactive engineering function that provides maintenance and technical support seven days a week. As a service driven organisation, we are committed to enhancing efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement across all areas of our operation.
The Role
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities & Projects Engineer to support ongoing production improvement projects and oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our two on-site caravan accommodation areas. These sites include 38 static caravans housing our seasonal workforce on SAW visas. This is a diverse role that blends engineering project work with practical maintenance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Accommodation & Site Maintenance
- Respond promptly to accommodation related issues.
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the caravan sites.
- Report major issues and coordinate with relevant teams.
- Conduct monthly compliance and standards checks.
- Monitor gas supplies and place replenishment orders when required.
- Plan, manage, and deliver engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Fabricate, modify, and build equipment and systems that support operational improvements.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all work meets health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Technical Skills
- Qualified or highly experienced in Mechanical, Electrical and/or Fabrication disciplines.
- Proven hands-on engineering experience with project responsibility.
- Strong problem solving, planning, and organisational skills.
- Practical experience in general maintenance and repair tasks.
- Friendly, approachable, and responsive to workers’ needs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to get involved at all levels.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence.
