With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and drive safety standards across all operations.
The Health & Safety Manager will take full responsibility for the development, implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental policies across multiple sites. You will work closely with senior management, site teams, and clients to ensure compliance and promote a positive safety culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide HSEQ policies and procedures
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits across multiple projects
- Ensure full compliance with UK health & safety legislation and industry standards
- Lead accident/incident investigations and produce detailed reports with recommendations
- Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and ongoing support to site teams
- Work closely with project managers and site managers to improve safety performance
- Monitor and report on H&S KPIs, identifying areas for improvement
- Liaise with external bodies including HSE, clients, and auditors
- Maintain up-to-date risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and company documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within construction or civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and compliance
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Diploma desirable)
- Experience managing H&S across multiple sites/projects
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels
- Full UK driving licence
