ESD Recruitment is offering a Health & Safety Manager role in Greenwich, London. The position is full-time, permanent, and covers projects across London & the South East. Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) + vehicle/allowance + bonus.

ESD Recruitment works with a long-established fire protection contractor that delivers specialist passive fire protection solutions across commercial, residential, and healthcare projects. The firm has strong growth across London and the South East and seeks an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance and drive best practice across multiple sites.
The Role
This key position ensures all health, safety, and compliance procedures are maintained across live projects. You will work closely with directors, project managers, and site teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure operations align with statutory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain company health & safety policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and all relevant HSE legislation.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training for site teams.
- Prepare and review RAMS, COSHH assessments, and method statements.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, producing reports and corrective actions.
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, and regulatory bodies on health & safety matters.
- Drive a proactive, positive health & safety culture across the business.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Health & Safety management role within construction or fire protection.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and general HSE standards.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to visit sites across London & the South East.
- Experience within fire protection, fit‑out, or building services sectors.
- IOSH or working towards CMIOSH membership.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
