- Childcare and Education: Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 2-4 years. Delivering an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Observing and tracking children's development, and planning activities to support their individual progress. Providing a high standard of care and implementing positive behaviour management strategies.
- Staff Management: Supervising and mentoring staff within the room, including nursery practitioners, assistants, and apprentices. Delegating responsibilities and ensuring staff are working effectively.
- Parental Partnerships: Building positive relationships with parents and communicating effectively about their child's development. Involving parents in their child's learning and development. Addressing any concerns or questions from parents.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintaining accurate records of children's progress, observations, and assessments. Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, including those related to health, safety, and safeguarding. Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the self-evaluation and improvement plan.
