We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Apprentice to join the professional, rewarding, and supportive team at a nursery based in Wembley. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery and maintaining the delivery of high standards of care and education to all children.
The ideal candidate will bring previous experience of working with children, a genuine interest in developing the talent of younger generations, and a strong desire to make a difference in children's lives. You will be a good team player as we in Wembley Central Nursery School work as a team, equally learning to take initiative, and planning enriching activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:- To arrive at work in good time before my scheduled start time and to remain at work until the end of my scheduled shift.
- To assist with feeding and nappy changing.
- To prepare meals and/or snacks as directed.
- To assist with cleaning duties and ensure proper hygiene and sanitation at all times.
- To assist with outings and field trips (e.g. library visits, playground visits, neighbourhood walks).
- To assist with the preparation of daily crafts and activities, daily observations of children, weekly activity planning, and to supervise children during these activities as directed.
- To maintain strict confidentiality regarding all children, families, and nursery information.
- To wear suitable, child-friendly clothing and the nursery apron while on duty.
- Personal communication (including phone use) must be carried out before or after work outside the nursery premises and in line with nursery policy.
- To observe all nursery rules and regulations, including but not limited to no smoking and no use of personal mobile phones during working hours, as detailed in the nursery policies and regulation.
The nursery will provide funded apprenticeship.
