Responsibilities:
- Providing a fun, engaging and safe environment for the children
- Using the EYFS curriculum to plan lessons and activities that are engaging and stimulating for children's imagination
- Communicating with other team members and parents
- Working in a childcare setting with children ranging from ages 0 – 5
- Assisting children with development of early reading and early maths skills
- Encouraging development through play, exploration and child-led learning
- Providing general care and support for children in the nursery
- Observing and assessing children’s progress
For this Early Years Educator role, a Level 2/3 or above qualification in Early Years or Childcare is essential, and prior experience working with children under 5 within a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
