Are you an experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner ready to take on more responsibility? As we move into the summer term, Shooting Stars Nursery Wolverhampton is looking for a confident and committed Senior Nursery Practitioner to work closely with our Room Leader, supporting high‑quality practice, mentoring colleagues and helping shape an outstanding Early Years experience for children and families. This role is ideal if you’re secure in the EYFS, passionate about child‑centred care and ready to develop your leadership skills in a supportive, well‑resourced nursery, without stepping away from the day‑to‑day joy of working with children.

Your Role as Senior Nursery Practitioner

  • You’ll play a key role in maintaining consistently high standards within the room, while supporting the Room Leader and the development of the wider team.
  • Support the Room Leader in delivering high‑quality, EYFS‑led practice.
  • Act as a Key Person, building secure, trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Lead by example, supporting and mentoring colleagues, students and apprentices.
  • Contribute to planning engaging, inclusive activities based on children’s interests.
  • Maintain high‑quality observations, assessments and learning journeys.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment at all times.
  • Support children with SEND, working alongside parents and external professionals.
  • Contribute to Ofsted readiness, reflective practice and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner who brings confidence, warmth and leadership to the nursery team. You’ll need:

  • A Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
