Join an Exceptional Nursery Provision as a Lead Practitioner. Are you a calm, skilled and knowledgeable practitioner who is passionate about child development and ready to take the next step in your early years career? Do you lead with intention and consistency, creating meaningful, inspirational experiences that ensure children are truly “life ready”? At La Maternelle Family Childcare, we are looking for a Lead Practitioner to join our team in our Rainbow Room. This is a key role where you will work closely alongside the Room Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the room and helping to maintain high-quality, consistent practice.

The Role

  • Support the Room Manager in the day-to-day organisation of the Baby Room
  • Work collaboratively to ensure practice is calm, consistent and of the highest quality
  • Model and promote a skilled, intentional approach to childcare within the team
  • Support and guide colleagues, helping to build confidence and consistency in practice
  • Create a nurturing, enabling environment where every child can thrive
  • Contribute to maintaining our high standards through knowledgeable and reflective practice

Working hours: 7:30am – 6:00pm 4 days per week (with a fixed day off to support a positive work-life balance). Includes a 45-minute lunch break and an additional 15-minute break.

Our cosy, well-equipped staff room includes:

What We’re Looking For

  • A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
  • Experience working within a nursery setting
  • A calm, consistent and professional approach
  • Confidence in supporting others and working as part of a team
  • A knowledgeable and reflective practitioner who values continuous improvement
  • Passion for delivering intentional, high-quality learning experiences
