Kids Love Nature, Avon Heath Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Kid’s Love Nature’s Avon Heath setting as a Level 3 Apprentice. The setting is located in Avon Heath Country Park and opened in 2012. The setting boasts a large outdoor area and use of Avon Heath Country Park accommodating children aged 2-5 years old. The setting benefits from 300 acres of stunning heathland, in addition to features two beautiful classrooms and a one acre private garden with woodland, veggie garden, supersized sandpit, fire pit, pond, mud café, outdoor classroom and 4 resident chickens. This is an exciting opportunity to complete a Level 3 Childcare apprenticeship within a friendly team in a fantastic setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To work effectively as part of a team
- To be involved in the planning of activities for the children
- Communicating with parents and ensuring that the children’s records are accurate and up to date
- Interacting with the children and encourage the children to participate in the activities
- Creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere for the children to flourish
- Supporting with personal care and changing nappies
- Preparing snacks
- Helping to keep the setting clean and tidy
Qualities Required
The ideal candidate will need to be a great team player, confident and outgoing and must be willing to carry out a variety of tasks. You must also be imaginative, creative and be committed to a career within Childcare.
Requirements
- To obtain a clear DBS
- To have GCSE Grades A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
Hours
Working hours will be full time with shifts between 8am and 5pm. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed.
