We are looking for a Room Leader to join the team at this nursery in Elm Park, in a permanent role with an ASAP start. This is a full time Nursery Room Leader position to work 40 hours per week (worked in shifts between 7am and 7pm). Salary will be from £27,040 to £30,040 per annum.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the room operates smoothly and is a safe environment for the children
- Planning, preparing and leading a range of activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Observing and recording key children's development and progress
- Supporting Early Years Practitioners and students in the implementation and evaluation of children's planning and progress
- Conducting staff one to ones and appraisals
- Regularly communicating with parents/carers regarding the children's progress and day to day needs
- Attending staff training, meetings, parents evenings and open days as required
Requirements:
- Level 3 (or equivalent/above) qualification in Early Years or Childcare
- GCSEs or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths
- Recent experience working in an early years setting
- Experience planning short, medium and long term plans in an early years setting
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Experience of maintaining accurate records
