What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the daily running of the nursery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and care in line with the EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and Rosedene’s policies and procedures.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting the nursery team, promoting a positive, collaborative, and professional culture while ensuring staff development and performance are maintained to a high standard.
- Maintaining strong, trusting relationships with families, your team and our key local partners, supporting each child’s development and wellbeing.
- Keeping accurate records and communicating with parents/carers.
- Supporting your team members and being a positive role model, who looks to develop and suggest positive changes.
- Leading the room in the absence of the room leader.
- Attending staff meetings or any training courses that will help enhance your personal and professional development.
- Monitoring and recording all accidents.
- Adhering to and implementing all nursery procedures and policies.
- Contributing new ideas to continue to develop our practice.
- Always delivering a high-quality environment, ensuring always prepared for visits or inspections.
About you:
- At least a full and relevant level 3 UK Early Years Qualification.
- At least 2 years experience in Early years.
- Senior leadership experience within a nursery setting.
- Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding duties, nursery procedures and policies.
- Have good knowledge of birth to 5 development and the EYFS curriculum.
- Exceptional practice within an early years setting.
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Have a passion for outdoor learning and delivering enriching learning opportunities for children.
- Demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge in Early Years and have full understanding of children’s emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs.
- A positive attitude with an unwavering commitment to service excellence to allow us to maintain our high standards.
- Be able to work as a team.
- Have a professional attitude and manner.
- In line with legal regulations, you must hold a GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths or gain it within 2 years of starting.
