Job Summary And Purpose
ESCP Business School is seeking a proactive and results‑driven Senior Business Development Manager to support the growth of its Executive Education offer to companies and individuals.
This role focuses on developing relationships with corporate clients and becoming a preferred partner in the development and delivery of their learning and development solutions, and serves as a key driver of the integration of ESCP in the UK business ecosystem.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Core Business Development
- Proactively build and manage a high‑quality business development pipeline through targeted outreach, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Qualify prospects and conduct introductory meetings to assess organisational learning and development (L&D) needs, and position ESCP as a preferred partner in the development and delivery of L&D solutions.
- Represent ESCP at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote the school and generate new partnership opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring all leads, activities, and forecasts are kept up to date.
- Work with internal colleagues (alumni relations, careers services, faculty and others) to ensure smooth conversion of leads and other relationships into partnerships.
- Contribute to target forecasting and reporting.
- Act as a respected and trusted Ambassador and Champion for the ESCP brand, programmes and thought leadership across all activities.
- Client Relationship Management
- Manage the discovery process to understand client needs and support the creation of proposals, pitch materials, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in HR, L&D, and business leadership roles.
- Act as a trusted point of contact throughout the sales cycle, ensuring a positive and professional client experience.
Work in partnership with Executive Education programme teams, ensuring client and learner needs are clearly met and exceeded.
- Prioritise opportunities for repeat business, cross‑selling, and long‑term account development across all ESCP activities (careers, Foundation, PR, guest lecturing and teaching opportunities etc.).
- Market & Product Insight
- Build a solid understanding of the executive education and L&D markets, competitor offerings, and emerging trends.
- Help develop and articulate ESCP's value proposition effectively to different client sectors and levels of seniority.
- Provide feedback from the market to inform Executive Education, programme development and commercial strategy.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate qualification (e. g., MBA or MSc) an advantage but not essential.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, account management, or corporate partnerships.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and managing end‑to‑end sales cycles.
- Experience in higher education, learning and development, professional training, or related sectors desirable but not required.
- Understanding of HR and L&D functions is beneficial.
- Key Competencies
- Strong relationship‑building, influencing, and communication skills.
- Confident presenter with the ability to tailor messaging to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, and comfortable working to clear commercial targets.
