The End User Compute Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, delivery, and lifecycle management of end-user computing services across the organization. This includes managing hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile devices), operating systems, and associated software platforms to ensure secure, efficient, and user-centric IT services. The role provides leadership in defining EUC strategy, implementing technology standards, and driving continuous improvement to enhance employee productivity and experience.
Key Accountabilities- Strategic Leadership: Define and maintain the EUC roadmap aligned with organizational goals, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
- Device Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of end-user devices, including procurement, configuration, deployment, patching, and end-of-life processes. Develop and enforce EUC technology standards, ensuring adherence to IT policies, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day EUC operations, including incident resolution, OS upgrades, and application updates, while maintaining high service levels and user satisfaction. Collaborate with third-party providers and internal teams to optimize EUC services, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions. Lead and mentor EUC team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Project Delivery: Drive EUC-related projects, such as technology refresh programs, cloud adoption initiatives, and automation of provisioning processes.
- Core Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, and mobile platforms. Strong knowledge of M365 including Power Platform. Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Active Directory, and endpoint security solutions. Proficiency in patch management, OS upgrades, and device encryption standards. Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM best practices for asset and configuration management.
- Infrastructure & Automation: Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VDI solutions). Experience with automation tools for device provisioning and configuration management.
- Security & Compliance: Knowledge of device security strategies, compliance frameworks, and governance processes.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage third-party vendors. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- ITIL Foundation or higher.
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
You must be willing to travel to Escode office locations globally and stay away from home on occasion.
