Esco GB Ltd is looking for an Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team designing advanced pharmaceutical containment and aseptic isolator systems used by leading global pharmaceutical companies, CDMOs and hospitals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or developing engineer to gain hands-on experience working on real engineering design, learning from an experienced design team while building skills in specialist pharmaceutical equipment design.

What You'll Do:

  • You will support the design and development of bespoke pharmaceutical equipment, not limited to, but including:
    • Aseptic isolator systems & containment isolators for high-potency compounds
    • Custom engineered pharmaceutical processing equipment that complies with GMP regulations and other relevant industry standards.
  • Working with experienced Esco engineers, you will:
    • Create 3D CAD models and accurate manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
    • Support airflow and containment engineering calculations for HEPA filtration
    • Produce complex stainless steel fabrication designs
    • Compile engineering documentation and Bills of Materials
    • Liaise with production to ensure engineering designs are manufacturable

What We're Looking For:

  • Essential:
    • Degree in Mechanical engineering or related engineering discipline
    • Recent working experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
    • Ability to interpret and produce 2D engineering production drawings
    • Strong communication and organisational skills
    • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
    • Candidates must have the legal / unrestricted right to work in the UK, without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of stainless-steel fabrication design
    • Awareness of GMP / pharmaceutical equipment environments
    • UK issued Driving license and current passport
