Location: Home based position. Applicants must reside in the southern region of the United Kingdom to accommodate frequent travel and on site attendance with customers when necessary. You will also be required to attend the Company's premises or any other location when requested.
Role Purpose: To contribute to the success of Esco through detailed, efficient sales and professionalism internally and with customers and suppliers in line with Esco business objectives. This is a diverse role requiring varying tasks supporting all departments, requiring good judgement, organisation and the ability to remain calm and professional in all situations. Although the role requires knowledge and coverage of all products, the specialist aspect of this role shall be towards the Scientific Division Product Portfolio.
Principle Accountabilities: The role of Territory Manager for Esco’s Scientific division will be inclusive of but not necessarily limited to the following for Esco GB Ltd:
- Account management
- Preparing and following up on quotations by email, phone or face to face with the customer
- Business development by means of:
- Maintaining and growing existing relationships
- Using available market segmentation and competitive analysis information to gain entry into new markets
- Field visits for client meetings, presentations, workshops, etc.
- Attending Esco Exhibitions
Person Requirements:
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation, and customer relationship management
- Good knowledge of market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer needs within the territory
- Strong understanding of the UK life science market
- Excellent planning, territory mapping, and time management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills for identifying sales opportunities
- Competence with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
- Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field.
