Responsibilities

  • Analyse system requirements and develop control system models that align with project specifications and functional needs.
  • Design, simulate, and optimise control systems using MATLAB/Simulink to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Specify and integrate the necessary hardware and software components for control systems.
  • Test and analyse control systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Develop test procedures and ensure systems function correctly under various operating conditions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, resolving issues efficiently to maintain system reliability.
  • Engage in problem-solving initiatives to identify and mitigate potential system failures before they occur.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems with other subsystems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in control system design, modelling, and analysis using Matlab/Simulink.
  • Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting control systems to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Ability to work on complex technical projects, with strong problem-solving skills.

Skills

  • Solid understanding of control system design principles and fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink simulation tools for system design and validation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement solutions effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microprocessor/DSP Hardware Implementation: Experience integrating microprocessor or DSP hardware in real-time control systems.
  • Embedded Control Software: Familiarity with real-time embedded software for control applications.
  • HMI / Visualization Tools: Experience developing interfaces for monitoring, configuration, or diagnostics of control systems.
