Escape Recruitment are recruiting for a Stores Coordinator who will play a key role in ensuring materials and consumables are available to support production while maintaining accurate inventory records and efficient stores operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering stores
  • Process goods inwards and goods outwards activities
  • Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counting and stock control activities
  • Support production through effective materials management and production kitting
  • Place purchase orders for MRO items, consumables, tools and PPE
  • Expedite supplier deliveries and follow up on outstanding orders
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding availability, lead times and delivery schedules
  • Monitor stock levels and support replenishment activities
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S initiatives
  • Operate forklift trucks safely to move materials and goods around site

Experience and Knowledge required for the role:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
  • Experience in stores, inventory, materials or warehouse operations
  • Exposure to purchasing, expediting or procurement support activities
  • Strong stock control and cycle counting experience
  • Good communication skills
