Escape Recruitment is working with an established and highly respected manufacturing organisation seeking a Product Developer to join their development team on a fixed-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of product development projects from concept through to launch, working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver innovative and commercially viable products. The successful candidate will join a busy and collaborative development function and will play a key role in managing customer-driven projects, supporting product submissions, coordinating cross‑functional activity and helping bring new products to market.
Key Responsibilities- Manage development projects from concept through to launch
- Work closely with procurement, commercial, process and operational teams
- Source new ingredients and materials
- Support product costing and feasibility activities
- Prepare products and documentation for customer submissions
- Coordinate development activity throughout the product lifecycle
- Benchmark competitor products and monitor market trends
- Support continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
- Previous experience within Product Development, NPD or Development Technology
- Experience within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
