Escape Recruitment is supporting an established engineering manufacturer in Dunfermline who are looking to add a Design Engineer to their engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on customer-led projects, taking designs from concept through to manufacture, and acting as a technical link between customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design engineered solutions based on customer requirements
- Support quotations through technical input, feasibility and costing information
- Manage design activity across multiple projects simultaneously
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers during development projects
- Produce and maintain CAD models, drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Work closely with production, purchasing and suppliers to support delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement and design optimisation
- Attend occasional customer or supplier meetings within the UK
Experience Required
- HND or Degree in Mechanical related engineering discipline
- Experience in a design or product engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in CAD and standard engineering tools
- Exposure to project-based engineering work
- Comfortable communicating with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities
