We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Dunfermline. This role sits within the Quality team and plays an important part in ensuring that quality standards are upheld across the entire production process. You will be responsible for inspecting materials, components and assemblies, maintaining accurate inspection records, and supporting compliance with quality systems.
The role will also involve working closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring customer requirements are met and that products are delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities- Carry out planned inspection, in-process inspection and patrol inspection across manufacturing areas
- Conduct final inspection of contracts prior to delivery
- Raise NCRs where non-conformances are identified and ensure appropriate corrective action
- Carry out goods-in inspection and confirm documentation is accurate and complete
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests alongside customers and survey societies
- Inspect and witness tests of equipment both on site and at supplier premises when required
- Support the compilation of customer data books in line with project requirements
- Ensure inspection activities are carried out in accordance with quality plans
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records
- Time served with at least 5 years' experience within a Quality Assurance or Engineering environment
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and CMM equipment
- Experience working within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
