Are you a driven and innovative Project Engineer looking to play a key role in delivering high-quality in-house design and project solutions? Our client, a respected manufacturer based in Livingston, is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join their team and contribute to exciting and varied projects across production and service support functions. About the Role As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project works – from conceptual design through to commissioning. You will play a vital role in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and practical solutions while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency are at the forefront of all activities. Key Responsibilities Lead design, installation, and modification projects for process tools and utility plant, always ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Supervise contractors on-site, reviewing and approving method statements, risk assessments, schedules, and issuing permits to work. Deliver site safety inductions to new contractors and champion best practices across all activities. Prepare and manage budgets for projects and monitor project costs to ensure financial control. Maintain comprehensive project documentation using relevant IT systems. Prepare technical reports and present findings clearly and concisely. Actively contribute to developing team skills and fostering flexibility within the design section. Participate in 5S activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with the company\’s Quality Management SystemsSkills and Experience Strong understanding of construction techniques and related safety regulations. Effective problem solver with the ability to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward. Demonstrates resilience, flexibility, and the ability to adopt new technologies.
