Our established manufacturing client continues to grow and is looking to appoint an experienced Production Planner to join their team. The Production Planner will create production plans and manage materials to ensure the manufacturing operations run efficiently.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Create and update the production schedule
- Develop and maintain production and material plans
- Identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
- Streamlining processes so that production can meet deadlines
- Manage the capacity planning process
- Attend and lead regular production review meetings
- Work closely with colleagues in Sales, Production and Procurement
- Providing reports on status and highlighting issues
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
- Previous experience of working in a production or materials planning role within a manufacturing organisation
- Experience in using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills
- Understanding of BOMs and manufacturing processes
- A problem solver who can deal with changes to production schedules
