Based in Edinburgh, our client requires an Operations Manager for a permanent role for a fast growing business within the FMCG industry. This role is Monday to Friday dayshift position.

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience in an Operations Manager role within the food/drink/FMCG industry beneficial
  • Experience of delivering on KPI's
  • High level of professional/specialist technical knowledge in manufacturing
  • Successful application of continuous improvement techniques (ie Lean projects) would be beneficial as would green/black belt qualification

The role:

  • Assess the current capabilities of the production facility including people, processes and systems.
  • After an initial hands-on approach to gain a full appreciation of the environment you will then begin implementing an agreed strategy with the Operations Director for short and medium terms improvements, ensuring delivery as sustained success.
  • Developing a culture of continuous business improvement including setting and driving quality improvements and standards, championing H&S, ISO Quality, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Setting clear goals for productivity and product quality, and successfully delivering on them.
  • Oversee product flow and implement new processes as required to improve efficiency and growth.
