A manufacturing business in Fife is looking to recruit a Materials & Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy and inventory control across the site. This is a newly created role introduced to strengthen stock integrity and improve operational efficiency across the business. Working closely with the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, Finance, Operations, and warehouse teams, you will play a key role in ensuring stock records accurately reflect physical inventory at all times. This position offers genuine responsibility and would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives on accuracy, and takes pride in keeping systems and processes organised and running properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records and process stock movements within the ERP system
- Process goods receipts and reconcile deliveries against purchase orders and supplier documentation
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and variances
- Coordinate monthly cycle counts, stock checks, and annual stock audits
- Support Finance with stock reconciliations and month-end reporting
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight shortages or slow-moving stock
- Coordinate logistics appointments for incoming deliveries
- Support warehouse and dispatch activity during busy periods
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on stock accuracy and operational performance
