An established FMCG food manufacturing site in East Kilbride is recruiting a Demand Planner following a period of significant change. The business has recently undergone new ownership and senior leadership team, with clear plans to invest in people, systems and site capability. This is a hands‑on role, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and suited to someone who enjoys improving processes in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
You will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support production, while balancing shelf life, capacity, stock availability, waste and cost.
Key responsibilities:- Build and maintain accurate demand forecasts at SKU and customer level (short, medium, and long term)
- Analyse sales data, promotions, seasonality, and trends to improve forecast accuracy
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Planning, Production, and Commercial teams to align demand
- Support S&OP / IBP by highlighting risks, opportunities and exceptions
- Balance demand with shelf life, capacity, stock, waste, and cost constraints
- Support system and process improvements while maintaining data accuracy and food safety compliance
- Previous experience in Demand Planning within FMCG (food preferred)
- Experience working with major retailers
- Strong Excel skills and confidence in handling data
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
- Process‑driven, curious, and willing to challenge constructively
