We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join an established manufacturing business based in Glenrothes. This is a hands-on role working closely with Production to ensure materials and finished products meet the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

What you'll be doing:

  • Inspecting and testing incoming raw materials
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process
  • Testing and inspecting finished products against specifications
  • Recording test and inspection results accurately
  • Identifying and reporting non-conforming materials or products
  • Supporting investigations into quality issues, customer complaints and returns
  • Maintaining quality and inspection documentation
  • Working closely with Production and other departments to resolve quality issues
  • Supporting audits and working within established quality procedures
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities

What we're looking for:

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have some practical experience of quality, inspection or testing within a manufacturing or production environment. Experience of the following would be beneficial:

  • Product or material inspection and testing
  • Working to specifications and quality standards
  • Non-conformances or quality investigations
  • ISO or other Quality Management Systems
  • Recording and maintaining quality documentation
  • Using inspection or testing equipment
  • Continuous improvement

Some training can be provided, and the company is particularly interested in people with the right attitude, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Once trained, you will need to be comfortable working independently and making appropriate quality decisions during your shift.

Hours & Shift Pattern:

Following an initial 4-6 week training period working Monday-Friday on day shift, you will move onto an alternating days and nights pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-6:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday-Thursday, 6:00pm-6:00am
