Junior Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer Hybrid role with 2 days working from home Salary from 35-45,000 depending on experience We\’re building a brand-new embedded team for our global manufacturing client in Central Scotland and we\’re looking for a Junior Engineer to help shape the future of their new product line. You\’ll have the opportunity to see it all come to life on-site – from design and development through to testing and full-scale manufacturing. Their on-site testing lab and production lines mean you\’ll see your firmware power a real, physical product from concept to final build. If you\’ve got at least a year\’s experience working with embedded firmware or systems in a hands-on role, and you\’re keen to learn from strong senior engineers while working on real products, this could be a great fit. What you\’ll be doing: Writing and debugging C code for embedded systems Testing and validating firmware on real hardware Supporting hardware bring-up and troubleshooting Working with electronics engineers, testers, and software developers Contributing to Agile product development projects What we\’re looking for: Degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics, or similar 1 year or more of industry experience in embedded systems or firmware Comfortable using lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters etc.) Experience with version control (Git or similar) Nice to have: Python for testing or automation Basic understanding of WiFi, BLE, or other comms protocols Exposure to RTOS or Linux-based systems This is not a graduate role.
