An exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering business and play a key role in the design and development of complex electrical systems and products. This position is suited to an electrical engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, developing new solutions and improving existing products.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and other internal teams to deliver reliable, safe and high-quality solutions.
- Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing electrical specifications, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Leading electrical design activity for new product development and product improvements
- Supporting validation, testing and commissioning activities
- Creating and maintaining electrical CAD designs
- Working with suppliers and other engineering stakeholders
- Ensuring designs meet required safety, reliability, quality and performance standards
- Working to agreed timescales, costs and quality requirements
About You
- You will ideally have:
- A degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Strong electrical engineering and design experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience using electrical CAD software
- Experience producing detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- The ability to interpret technical requirements and develop practical engineering solutions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
