Escape Recruitment is working with a leading engineering organisation to recruit a Depot Engineer for their Doncaster operation. This is a workshop-based engineering role responsible for maintaining, repairing and preparing a fleet of diesel-powered equipment for customer deployment. The position would suit an experienced engineer from a generator, HGV, heavy plant, agricultural, military, marine or similar engineering background.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on engineering equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults
- Complete equipment overhauls and refurbishment work
- Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance
- Prepare equipment for deployment
- Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
- Support continuous improvement activities within the depot
- Work safely and follow engineering standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical engineering background
- Strong fault-finding ability
- Experience working on diesel engines or similar
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship preferred
- Experience within generators, HGV, plant, marine, Forces or similar sectors
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
