The Role
You’ll join the Controls Engineering and R&D team, responsible for specifying, programming, and commissioning control systems for a range of bespoke machinery. This hands‑on role involves working from initial design through to installation and commissioning at customer sites worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for new and existing equipment.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other control components.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate control systems.
- Conduct system testing and verification to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
- Support system installations, commissioning, and customer training on site.
About You
- HND or degree in Electrical, Controls, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in control system design and implementation.
- Strong PLC and HMI programming experience (ideally Siemens TIA Portal or Rockwell Studio 5000).
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 13849).
- Confident problem‑solver with strong communication and practical commissioning skills.
- Knowledge of electrical CAD software (ePlan), analogue electronics, or hydraulic systems would be an advantage.
