Are you a Mechanical Engineer / Field Service Fitter who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving and travelling to customer sites? Escape Recruitment is working with an established engineering business that is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of technically interesting projects while receiving ongoing training and genuine long-term career development.
This role offers plenty of variety, with time spent installing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding on specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites throughout the UK.
The Role
- Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment on customer sites
- Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs
- Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis
- Conducting site inspections and producing survey reports
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Working closely with customers and colleagues to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Travelling throughout the UK, including regular overnight stays
- Supporting workshop activities when required
What We're Looking For
- A recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship City & Guilds or equivalent Mechanical qualification
- Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance experience
- Excellent fault-finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A flexible approach to travelling and staying away when required
