Health, Safety & Compliance Manager Ayrshire | £45,000 - £50,000 Escape Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Health, Safety & Compliance Manager for their site in Ayrshire. This is a standalone role offering the opportunity to take ownership of health, safety, environmental and compliance activities across a busy manufacturing operation. The position would suit either an experienced Health & Safety Manager or a Senior Health & Safety Advisor looking to take the next step into a management role. Reporting directly into senior site leadership, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting audits, driving continuous improvement and promoting a positive safety culture throughout the business. Key Responsibilities Maintain and develop health and safety policies and procedures Conduct and review risk assessments and safe systems of work Lead incident investigations and corrective actions Manage COSHH assessments and safety documentation Oversee permit to work systems and contractor compliance Coordinate internal and external audits Monitor environmental compliance activities Liaise with regulatory bodies and support compliance reporting Produce monthly EHS reports for senior leadership Support sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards What We're Looking For NEBOSH Certificate or higher qualification Previous Health & Safety experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, production, recycling or processing environments Experience conducting audits and managing compliance activities Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation Familiarity with COSHH, DSEAR, risk assessments and incident investigations Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong administrative and reporting capabilities Ability to work autonomously and influence at all levels What's On Offer Opportunity to lead site-wide H&S activities Broad and varied role with genuine responsibility Supportive senior leadership team Growing business with long-term investment plans Excellent opportunity for progression and developmentFor a confidential discussion, please apply today or contact Escape Recruitment
