Here at Escape Velocity, we are looking for an HR Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. This role will be working in partnership with the Director of HR & Leadership, providing administrative support to our team. You will help organize our HR department, keep processes running smoothly, and build rapport with employees. In this role, main areas of focus will be onboarding, HRIS administration, payroll processing, reporting, day-to-day employee inquiries, and supporting employee initiatives. This person will work collaboratively to review and continually improve the employee experience.

What we will do together:

  • Assist with administration of Human Resources policies, processes and procedures; makes recommendations for improvement and changes to maintain highest levels of employee satisfaction.
  • Manage onboarding process for new hires, including but not limited to scheduling first day activities, conducting new hire orientation, explaining new hire processes, and arranging periodic check-ins with new hires to ensure their continued success.
  • Aid with inter-company employee transfers and relocations as well as initiate relocation support.
  • Ensure all paperwork for new hires, terminations, and employee changes are received, approved, and filed in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize company HRIS platforms to process all job changes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate management of any payroll discrepancies.
  • Produce census, PTO, and Ad-Hoc reports.
  • Assist with employee programs, including but not limited to research, coordination of vendors, and communications about program additions or changes.
  • Review and respond to Slack and e-mail communications.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects.

  • Flexibility with working hours (core hours 9am-6pm), recognizing that we’re a global studio with multiple locations internationally.
  • Interest or experience with working across global locations.
  • Experience working with an Employer of Record (EOR) a plus.
  • Desire and openness to travel as and when required.
  • Strong Google Suite skills.
