We are currently seeking a talented Senior Outsourcing Concept Artist with a focus on Character Design who will be specializing in creating Skins and Cosmetics across various subjects, including characters, props, and environments. Your role will be instrumental in defining the aesthetics of our cosmetic campaigns, infusing each design with personality, storytelling, and unique style to enhance the player's experience in our game.
Requirements
- Create compelling pitches including rough concepts for individual cosmetics and campaigns that align with the game's vision ranging from characters, environments, and props.
- Stay informed about visual trends or styles in gaming and pop culture, applying insights to create fresh and engaging ideas that capture players' interest and contribute to a memorable gaming experience.
- Provide feedback and guide other concept artists and outsourcing teams in executing designs to ensure consistency with the project's art direction and visual style.
- Communicate and partner between Art, Narrative, and Design departments to develop concept designs that not only look great but also translate well into gameplay and animation.
- Create exploration sketches in 2D, mood boards, and Storyboards to communicate ideas.
What you will bring
- Passion for designing environments and bringing characters to life with the goal of creating great experiences for players.
- Experience working with external vendors and giving feedback.
- Experience in games designing main characters, props, and environments.
- Experience working on live-ops games, especially those with high-volume content.
- Ability to quickly iterate on ideas visually.
- Self-motivated toward solving creative problems and a curiosity to deep dive into new subject matter.
- Understanding of anatomy, creature, and character design.
- Illustration skills, deep understanding of composition, color theory, values, form, shape language, and silhouette.
