As a Gameplay Engineer, you will work closely with Design, Animation, and Audio to create new gameplay experiences and take ownership over large gameplay features. You will be working on an earlyāstage incubation project, so a flexible mindset is necessary, and you will have a high opportunity to participate in design and have your voice as part of the product.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of our gameplay systems
- Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software in script and C/C++
- Deploy, optimize and test gameplay software on PC
- Collaborate with other internal departments (art, design, audio, QA, etc.)
- Document software and features for internal and external teams
- Participate in the code review process
Qualifications
- Experience developing games professionally, and shipping AAA titles
- Experience using Unreal Engine 4/5
- A keen analytical mind, with strong problemāsolving skills
- Strong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
- Strong math skills
- Well versed in games and able to articulate what is strong or weak about the design of existing games
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Selfāmotivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently
- Creativity in problemāsolving and the ability to think outside of the established solutions
- Keen interest in games
