Debug Engineer | North America | Canada | Europe | Fully Remote Be among the first 25 applicants What we are looking for: Here at Escape Velocity, we are seeking a Debug Engineer responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues. This role involves performing in-depth analysis and debugging to ensure our product meets high-quality standards. The candidate will collaborate with engineering and support teams to enhance system performance and reliability. Responsibilities include: Create internal tools to assist in problem-solving, improve developer ease, and identify issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures. Perform in-depth debugging and analysis. Collaborate with teams to resolve technical problems. Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software using scripting and C/C++. Assist in developing and implementing system improvements. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues promptly. What you will bring: A desire to cover a wide spectrum of game systems and support development. Ability to understand 3D math and apply it to rendering concepts. Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and methodologies. Experience with Unreal Engine.
