Water Hygiene Engineer / Technician – Progression to Legionella Risk Assessor
Escape Recruitment is working with a leading water hygiene specialist seeking a Water Technician or Water Hygiene Engineer to join their expanding team, with a clear development path to become a Legionella Risk Assessor . Full training and support will be provided by their experienced and supportive team.
The Role
Your primary responsibility will be conducting Legionella Risk Assessments , alongside PPM and reactive maintenance in water hygiene.
Key Duties:
- Conduct risk assessments in line with ACOP L8, HSG 274, and HTM/SHTM standards.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain water systems, including TMVs and temperature monitoring.
- Create schematic diagrams and detailed reports within deadlines.
- Provide expert guidance on compliance and remedial actions.
- Support Account Managers in estimating remedial works.
- Analyse lab results and advise clients on next steps.
What You Need
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in water safety/risk assessment.
- Strong knowledge of UK water hygiene regulations .
- Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills .
- IT proficiency, including schematic drawing tools.
- Basic plumbing skills (advantageous but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (including overnight stays).
- Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme membership (mandatory).
