A growing engineering services business is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join its field-based team supporting industrial and process sector customers.

This is an excellent break into the mechanical engineering and process industry, offering full training and exposure to installation, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment on live sites. Candidates from HGV, heavy plant, ex-forces, mechanical fitting or industrial maintenance backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Role
  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of mechanical equipment
  • Fault finding and repair of pumps and industrial machinery
  • Planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response
  • Reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Working on customer sites and occasional workshop support
  • Completing reports using mobile systems
  • Participation in an on-call rota and occasional working away
About You
  • Strong mechanical background (hands-on experience essential)
  • Experience from HGV, plant, military or industrial environments
  • Confident fault-finder with a practical mindset
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home
  • Full UK driving licence
