Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Production Planning Assistant to join the production planning team of an iconic Scottish manufacturing brand on a 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with supply chain experience or a Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations student looking to gain valuable industry experience over the summer.
Working closely with the Production Planner, you will support the planning of four production lines, helping to ensure materials, resources and production schedules are aligned to meet production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the creation and maintenance of production plans
- Assign materials to production work orders
- Monitor material availability to support production schedules
- Maintain planning data within ERP/MRP systems
- Update Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Produce reports and analyse data using Excel and Google Sheets
- Support the wider planning team with daily planning activities
- Experience within Supply Chain, Production Planning, Material Planning, Resource Planning or a similar environment
- Alternatively, a Supply Chain or Logistics student seeking industry experience
- Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
- ERP/MRP system experience would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proactive, reliable and keen to learn
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
