Are you a passionate and ambitious procurement professional ready to take the next step in your public sector career? This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and supportive procurement team at Glasgow Caledonian University, a forward-thinking institution committed to excellence and innovation. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality procurement services, with a focus on ICT procurement (experience in this area is beneficial but not essential).

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Undertake end-to-end tendering for the Framework Agreements in the portfolio
  • Be the point of contact for members for the use of Framework Agreements
  • Undertake strategy development and market analysis
  • Contract Management of suppliers within their portfolio of work
  • Embed responsible procurement activity into the end-to-end tendering process
  • Manage or participate in other projects as required

Knowledge and experience required for the role:

  • Experience working in Public Sector Procurement
  • Have strong knowledge of UK and Scottish procurement legislation and of the legislative requirements of other Framework Agreements
  • Experience in contract drafting and negotiation
  • Have procurement experience and be experienced in the tendering and management of a broad range of commodities
  • Demonstrate sound commercial knowledge
  • Provide outstanding customer and stakeholder service levels
  • Knowledge of the ethical/social and environmental impacts occurring in the supply chain
