Escape Recruitment is working with a global manufacturing business to recruit an Export Team Leader to support a site with ambitious growth plans. This is a role you will be responsible for, moving products globally, leading a team, export compliance and customer delivery and helping shape how export operations scale as the business grows.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Leading and developing a team of Customer Service and Export Coordinators
  • Managing day-to-day global customer and export operations
  • Owning customs compliance and export documentation across global markets
  • Working directly with customs authorities and border agencies
  • Managing freight forwarder relationships and performance
  • Supporting pricing queries, currency considerations and ERP pricing data
  • Supporting global customer contracts using export and trade knowledge
  • Driving process improvements across export and customer operations
  • Acting as site contact for trade compliance and export control procedures
  • Supporting trade finance activity, including Letters of Credit and export finance terms

Knowledge and experience required for the role:

  • Solid export / international logistics experience (manufacturing ideal)
  • Strong understanding of global export legislation and customs compliance
  • Proven experience in leading and developing successful teams
  • Experience working with ERP systems (M3 highly desirable)
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in making decisions
  • Continuous improvement mindset
