Salary: £40,000 – £53,000 DOE (Includes overtime paid at 1.75x basic rate, dependent on experience)

Escape Recruitment is looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a secure organisation and become part of a small, experienced engineering team. The role involves working in a busy, fast-moving environment, carrying out planned maintenance as well as responding quickly to breakdowns.

Shift Pattern

  • Peak Season (July – September): ~12-hour shifts ~ Rotating pattern: 4 days on / 1 day off / 4 nights on / 3 days off
  • Off-Peak Season (October – June): Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30, Friday: 07:30 – 14:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspections, and testing
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving faults effectively
  • Undertake installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Support continuous improvement of plant reliability and performance
  • Work collaboratively within a small engineering team in a high-output environment

About You

  • Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Strong fault-finding skills on electrical control systems and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Experience with conveyors, chain-driven systems, and industrial processing equipment
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
