An established manufacturing business within the heavy engineering sector is looking to recruit an experienced Machinist to join its operations team. This is a hands-on role within a busy machine shop environment, supporting the production of high-integrity components to strict quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating manual and CNC machine tools
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and process sheets
  • Carrying out machining and set-ups to tight tolerances
  • Using precision measuring equipment to inspect work

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Machinist in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Background in setting and operating manual and CNC machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience working to quality systems and procedures

Hours of work: 37 hours per week on a rotating three-shift pattern: Early, back and night shifts, Monday to Friday.

This role would suit a reliable, practical machinist who enjoys working in a structured, safety-critical production environment and wants long-term stability.
