An established manufacturing business within the heavy engineering sector is looking to recruit an experienced Machinist to join its operations team. This is a hands-on role within a busy machine shop environment, supporting the production of high-integrity components to strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating manual and CNC machine tools
- Interpreting engineering drawings and process sheets
- Carrying out machining and set-ups to tight tolerances
- Using precision measuring equipment to inspect work
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Machinist in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Background in setting and operating manual and CNC machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience working to quality systems and procedures
Hours of work: 37 hours per week on a rotating three-shift pattern: Early, back and night shifts, Monday to Friday.
